While trying to navigate the everyday drama of high school, the smart, fearless, 17-year-old Veronica Mars also moonlights as an apprentice private investigator out to solve her wealthy town of Neptune's toughest mysteries. After coming to the aid of the new kid, sophomore Wallace Fennel, who's been duct-taped to the school's flagpole, Veronica ends up incurring the wrath of the thugs who put him there, Eli "Weevil" Navarro and his P.C.H. Biker Boyz. To get Weevil and his gang off her and Wallace's case, Veronica devises an intricate plan that helps some of Weevil's cronies avoid trouble with the law.
Meanwhile, defying her father, Keith Mars, the disgraced former sheriff turned private eye, Veronica pursues a late-night case of adultery against billionaire Jake Kane, only to make an unsettling discovery about her mother, who abandoned Veronica and Keith a year ago.

Bouncing Bouvier
Tedd Rosenfeld and Shellie Yaseen adopted an adolescent Bouvier des Flandres named Gus, who very rambunctious. Since Bouviers are a high-energy herding breed, Cesar teaches them how to properly exercise Gus to burn off some of his excess energy, then takes them to Long Beach Herding Facility, where owner Jerome Stewart encourages Gus to herd some sheep, since Bouviers are a herding breed. After seeing how much Gus enjoys himself, Tedd and Shellie decide that he will be going weekly for herding training.
Twirling Dog
Ava is a Pug/Pekingese mix who lives with Nadia Krim. Ava has a compulsive twirling habit when she gets excited. Knowing that this behavior is not just an endearing quirk, Nadia calls Cesar for help. Cesar and Nadia take Ava for a walk, and Cesar explains that twirling is Ava's way of dealing with boredom and frustration. Dogs will show negative behavior like excessive barking, digging, chewing, as a side effect of lack of exercise and mental stimulation. Exercise, mental stimulation (discipline) and affection are the three things our dogs need for balance. He shows her how to keep Ava's head up while walking by putting the collar just behind the ears, like handlers do while showing dogs; this gives the person more control.

The semifinalists meet in LA and have a pool party to celebrate making it that far. Deciding to have a bit more fun, some of the girls trek out to a local hotspot where one semifinalist gets into a bar fight with a local.
Later on, the girls introduce themselves more to the judges and a cut is announced where 14 out of the 34 girls are eliminated. A second cut eliminates 6 more girls and the Final 14 are presented.

With a possible serial killer on hand, the only witness they have is the one of the three who survived, but she can only communicate through blinking. Photographs found at one of the crime scenes lead the team to a couple that had sponsored one of the victims, the boyfriend who claims he hasn't spoken to her in weeks, and the owner of one of the buildings a photo was taken from.
