Diver and Karen contemplate running a story about Jack's affair with Dianne, whom they think is a drug dealer, unaware that she is actually an undercover cop. Jack is doubtful that the case is over, thinking the corpse isn't Kent's. When Kent goes to snoop at LA Notorious, he finds the photos of Jack and Dianne kissing. Thinking the Hollywood Slayer search is over, Paco requests to lead his own case. Later, he and Jack are told that the charred body doesn't belong to Kent; Jack then finds the photos of him and Dianne on his car windshield. Karen confronts Dianne about the affair, unaware that the killer is still at large. Meanwhile, Kent and Betty plan an alibi for her for the night Jimmy disappeared; Kent plants Fly Brand cocaine in Jimmy's car, while Betty plants an auto shop bill in his house. Dressed in costume, Kent approaches Dianne at her club and buys Fly Brand off of her. Betty makes a tearful statement to the cops about having an affair with Jimmy in order to protect herself. Elsewhere, Kent breaks into Jack's house and leaves a copy of the photos on his daughter's bed. Jack, angry about the killer having power over him, starts a fight with Paco, but eventually tells him what's going on. When Jack arrives home, he comes clean to Allison, who storms out of the house. Paco informs Karen and Diver that the killer took photos from their office and now Dianne is in danger; he then goes to Dianne's apartment to warn her, and the two leave without noticing Kent hiding. Jack returns to the Whisky on the advice of Dianne, and is approached by Kent in a disguise.

After two long days of closing arguments, the jury deliberates. Steven's fate hinges on whether the jury believes police misconduct may have occurred.

In this epilogue to the Tartaros saga, the dragons reveal a tragic secret to Fairy Tail, while Natsu makes a vow to Igneel's fading soul. In the aftermath, Makarov dissolves the guild, several members set out on their own quests, and Zeref drops a shocking revelation.

Parker gives Alan driving lessons at the Creighton-Ward estate in FAB0 while Lady Penelope has tea with her great aunt Sylvia. Progress is slow until a pair of bumbling intruders attempt to kidnap the ladies. FAB1 is the only vehicle that can reach them in time. Parker is injured and cannot drive so Alan has to conquer his fear and rescue them.

It's Christmas Eve and Jacob Marley is ruthlessly pursuing his debtors, including Little Nell's dying grandad at the Old Curiosity Shop. Meanwhile a young Miss Havisham has come into a fortune.

Christmas Day arrives and news of Jacob Marley's murder dampens the festivities, giving Inspector Bucket a new investigation to pursue. Meanwhile, at Satis House, Amelia Havisham's mysterious rescuer makes another appearance.

The latest series of the chat show closes with a Boxing Day special in which Jonathan is joined in the studio by actor Ian McKellen, American comedian and actor Aziz Ansari, actress Lily James and TV host Fiona Bruce. However, to mark the festive season, the host dispenses with his usual rounds of no-holds-barred questioning, and instead invites his visitors to take part in light-hearted games. He also introduces performances by some of his more musically inclined callers, and plots to catch everyone off-guard with a few surprises.
