On a temporary leave from military duty in Iraq, Martin's father (guest-star Costas Mandylor) pays the Camdens a visit to help his son decide whether to forgo college for a career in professional baseball. However, the visit turns sour when Martin catches his father kissing Roxanne. Meanwhile, Chandler and Paris (guest-star Shannon Kenny) reevaluate their relationship in the wake of her ex-husband's return, and Roxanne comes to blows with Martin's aunt (guest-star Keri Lynn Pratt) over their differing views on the war in Iraq. Lastly, Vic tries to join the Marines and talks to a supervisor over the matter.

Dylan and the crew are put on trial by the Commonwealth. The Collectors now control the Commonwealth. The crew wants to escape, but Dylan wants to stick out the trial, to determine if he still has ANY allies in the Commonwealth he helped to rebuild.

A massive power outage blacks out the entire Las Vegas strip and locks down the Montecito. At the exact time of the blackout, a mystery hotel guest is shot and killed on the casino floor. With Ed and claustrophobic Mike locked in the surveillance office, Nessa and Delinda attempt to find the killer, while a sleep-deprived Sam suspects the murder to be part of a cover-up involving the entire staff. Meanwhile, Danny and Mary spend the blackout trapped in an elevator, rehashing old feelings.

Paris and Nicole get a job working with a taxidermist; Paris is homesick and relies on Nicole to cheer her up.

At Nic's funeral Jess is the only person from the hospital to be there. Nic's mother and a depressed Kelly are also there. Jess visits Kelly after the funeral but it doesn't go very well. When she returns, she receives the news that Kelly hanged herself and she is dead.

Kev tells a gang of women he is getting married to fend of their advances. Unfortunately, Frank overhears and drunkenly announces it to the entire pub - and Veronica's mother Carol. Kev proposes to Veronica and they and the Gallaghers plan a wedding on the cheap. But Kev is hiding a big secret: he is already married, and to make matters worse, Veronica's arsonist brother Marty has escaped from prison. Meanwhile, Ian rejects the sexual advances of Mandy Maguire and she tells her family, the toughest family on the estate, that he forced himself on her. With her brothers after his blood, Ian decides to run from his troubles.
