As the Grand Festival rages on, Dawn, Zoey, Nando, and Jessie battle their way past tons of talented coordinators and the four of them arrive in the Top 4. The first battle is Zoey vs. Nando. Nando chooses Kricketune and his new Lopunny while Zoey goes with Leafeon and her newly evolved Mismagius. As the battle goes on, both trainers put on an amazing battle, with neither giving an inch. Later, Dawn and Jessie take the stage for their battle. Which two coordinators will advance to the final stage and battle for the Ribbon Cup?

All fourteen couples perform together for the first time performing either a foxtrot or a salsa. After each couple have danced the judges give their verdicts on what they have seen and scores. At the end of the show the phone lines are opened for the first public vote of the series.

After an unexpected meeting with the enigmatic old sorcerer Taliesin, the wizard takes Merlin to the crystal cave allowing him to witness a glimpse of the future. However, this gesture turns out to be more of a curse than a gift when, much to his horror, Merlin sees Morgana set to kill Uther. Dermot returns to present the first of the live finals and reveals there is a twist this year. Each of the judges has to select one act they have rejected at the judges houses stage of the competition and give them a second change as the final twelve becomes the final sixteen. The finalists perform live for the first time. After each act has performed the judges give their verdicts on what they have heard. Most of the acts manage to give a good first performance. At the end of the show the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote and Dermot announces that two acts will be eliminated from the competition tomorrow.
