Jake begins to believe that his blindness makes him less of a person. The feeling sets in after he allows a crook carrying cash from Chris's register to walk right past him and out of the diner. Jake even holds the door open for the thief. After Chris and John's attempts to cheer him have the reverse effect, John figures a hockey game may help take Jake's mind off of the matter. But while the two are at the game, Jake believes he hears the robber's voice and he wants John to make a citizen's arrest.

Bobby quits the football team as towel manager, to grow roses. His preference for gardening over gridiron irks Hank, until he enters Bobby in a rose-growing contest & finds that he enjoys it as well. The fun ends for Bobby when Hank takes over, and finds them a sponsor. Eventually Hank's lust for winning kills the love for the hobby.

Tony and Johnny Sack prepare to move against Carmine, but Tony second-guesses the deal and considers another option. Meanwhile, Tony haggles with a lawyer when he decides to buy a beach house as a gift for Carmela.
Junior finds that his legal worries are over when the judge makes a ruling in his case, and Christopher returns clean and sober from rehab.
Carmela reaches the breaking point and throws Tony out of their home when Tony's ex girlfriend taunts her over the phone. Tony resists at first, but eventually decides that its best for his family if he leaves.
