Malcolm is grounded on his birthday once again when his vengeful battle with Reese gets out of hand. Hal sets out to buy a comic for his son, but has an unfortunate run-in with the shop assistants.

Until the Russian no-wood-nick termites can be thoroughly exterminated, 6 months from now, the Simpson family is homeless. The family tries a number of options but settle upon trying out for a home where they are required to live like its 1895. They pass the audition and start living the lifestyle. When the "1895 Challenge" sinks in the ratings, the producers try to stir things up by adding Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley. When even that doesn't work, they relocate the house to a river and watch it float downstream. Eventually the house comes to shore and falls apart. Now the family finds themselves without food and shelter as the TV crew eats away. The encounter and tribe of refugees from another reality program and together they fight to return to civilization, where they can find quality scripted television. When even that fails them, they start to entertain themselves.

Hank and Bobby go head to head in a craze imported from Canada: dog dancing. Hank catches Bobby Dog Dancing with Ladybird, and he is furious. He demands that Bobby stop. Bobby takes on Connie's dog,'Doggie' as his next partner, and they begin to train. Meanwhile, Ladybird lets Hank know that she wants to dance, so the competition begins, Old school vs. New age. When a competition comes to town, they showcase their talents, along with Bill, who purchased a Rottweiler that hates him.

Sydney, Jack, and Irina must go to India to stop six nuclear weapons from being released. Meanwhile, Sloane finds out that his wife is alive. Also, Sark joins SD-6.

A businesswoman who becomes a suspect in the murder of her daughter-in-law, who was strangled in her garage. Disparate bruises on her body lead Goren and Eames to believe that there were two assailants.

Furio resigns from the Soprano crew and goes home to Italy, leaving Carmela depressed and angry. Paulie tries to prove his loyalty to the Soprano family, but his burglary scheme ends on a violent note. When Fareeza's International Day display is vandalized, and has "terrorist" on it, Hazel becomes the main suspect. J.T. becomes embarrassed when everyone finds out he is good at sewing.
