Joey's best friend from high school, Jimmy, comes to visit Joey after years of not having contact. He reveals a major surprise to Michael and Gina which throws their world out of balance.

Lex considers whether to turn an operative loose to obtain or fake damaging information against Jonathan to upset his Senatorial race. But when Lex is shot, he falls into a coma and is visited by the ghost of his mother, who shows him what his life could be like if he frees himself from his father. Meanwhile, Clark helps deliver Christmas presents.

The tribe is now down to Five. At the Reward Challenge, the Survivors are given a chance to win a car. Cindy ends up winning the car but is surprised by a twist: Jeff reveals that the winner of the car has never won the game, and some fans have claimed that the pattern is a curse. To thwart the superstition, Jeff gives Cindy the option to give up her newly-won car and give one to each other player in the game. A distraught Cindy decides to keep her own car and chooses Stephenie to come with her on the Reward, an overnight stay at an archeological dig. In the Immunity Challenge, Stephenie manages to unwind herself from a series of poles before the others, pulling off her first individual challenge victory ever, securing her a spot in the Final Four. At Tribal Council, the "car curse" continues when Cindy's irritated tribemates vote her out of the game unanimously.

Trump greets Randal and Rebecca up at their suite, and gives them instructions to have breakfast with George and Carolyn at a nice restaurant. There, the two battle it out when they pick employees for the final tasks, and after some compromises, Rebecca chooses Toral, Chris, and James, and Randal picks Mark, Marshawn, and Josh. Later, Trump introduces the new "bosses" to their jobs: for Randal - host a celebrity baseball game sponsored by Outback Steakhouse for the Autism Speaks charity; for Rebecca - plan a comedy night sponsored by Yahoo for the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Both are given unwanted surprises when bad weather looms for Randal and Rebecca's MC cancels on her. How will the players cope with these setbacks? And who will be The Apprentice? The CSI's are called out to investigate the disappearance of a boy whose father died four years ago. Soon a couple is arrested at a convenience store with a boy matching the description of the missing kid. The only problem is they both claim it is their son. Both parents have exactly the same picture of the boy, with a scar on exactly the same place on his face. They hope a DNA-test could confirm who the real parents are, but when this information comes to light, it lead to another bizarre twist, possibly murder.

A very-much-in-love Ephram discovers that he has unwittingly become a "girlfriend" to Amy, but the friendship takes a turn for something more when a moment of intimacy leads to them waking up together the next morning. Meanwhile, Nina grows suspicious of Jake's recent strange behavior, which is further amplified when his brother, Brian (guest star Tom Parker), shows up unexpectedly. Delia takes up with the popular girls in school, which worries Andy. Also, Bright tries to rectify Hannah's low self-esteem issues. Lastly, Rose drops some startling news on Harold, which could drastically change their lives.

Ryan begins working as an intern for Sandy and Matt, and ends up working to save Matt instead. Determined to both get accepted to Brown, Summer and Seth do what they can to stand out. Johnny admits his feelings to Marissa, and Ryan and Marissa end up telling each other the truth.

While spending the holidays at Will's mother Marilyn's house, Grace gets cozy with Will's brother and old flame Sam. Sam's adopted daughter finds a fan in Karen, who is intrigued by the little girl. Meanwhile, Jack helps Will's clearly gay ten-year-old nephew organize and perform a Christmas show, which Marilyn is thrilled about. Will is silently fuming, however, as Marilyn is much more tolerant of the young boy than she ever was of her own son.

Luka and Abby make plans for Christmas Day, but something is on Abbys mind. Kerry, Pratt and Abby treat a girl who is the victim of a random bullet fired by gang members, leading to a vigil outside the ER and a scared straight lesson, administered by Pratt, in the consequences of gun violence. Luka and Ray treat a woman with cancer who chooses quality time with her family over fighting the disease. Clementes former flame arrives, and the fires reignite, despite his efforts to resist. When a testy Santa insults a group of blind children, Eves extreme response forces Luka to bring in the nursing supervisor, and Eve is fired. Haleh auditions singers for the Christmas party and finds a surprising partner in Morris. Sam discovers the impact Steves imprisonment has had on Alex, and takes him to visit his father. At the end of the day, the gang gathers for the annual Christmas party. Luka and Abby exchange gifts, and Abby shares some big news with Luka: shes pregnant!

Sam agrees to do a favor for a friend by looking into the identity of a young amnesiac who was found wearing expensive clothes by two police officers. The investigation leads them to a play the woman was involved in and a mugging gone wrong, then they follow the trail to the woman's past, which seems to have been the trigger for her amnesia. Jack takes some time off work to deal with his father, who is getting worse as his Alzheimers begins to take over and his kidneys fail. Jack finally convinces Frank to seek help, but it's too late, and Jack has to say goodbye to his father.
