Stardate: Unknown Capt. Janeway informs Seven of Nine that they have found Icheb's, the Borg child's, parents and his world. They will have to relocate Icheb back there, to Seven's dismay. However, it soon is found that Icheb's parents and the planet's race have another need for Icheb; one that unfortunately failed to destroy the Borg on their first attempt.

Kelly and Matt help Dylan search for his father. They learn that Eddie Waitkus lives in Tolleson, Arizona; and Kelly obtains his address. Dylan sees that Jack has a happy life with a wife and young son, and decides not to approach him. Jack shows up at Dylan's hotel room. Donna insists on looking after Noah as he recovers from his injuries. Noah tries to rekindle their relationship, but Donna has moved on. Camille becomes jealous of the closeness between David and Donna. Although David and Donna try to establish some boundaries, neither seems very happy about it. Steve's brother Ryan comes to visit for spring break. He is a pre-med major at Amherst. Ryan goes drinking at clubs with Steve every night, lies around like a pig all day, and mouths off to Janet. Janet opines that Ryan is trying to live up to Steve's reputation. Ryan reveals that he wound up on academic probation because of his constant partying, and dropped out of school. Mike has a meeting with a tomato stand owner who refuses to move his stand so that the city can build a new performing arts center. He ultimately enlists James to compete against the man in a "pig-off" to decide whether the stand will stay or move. The mayor befriends a rapper who sampled one of his speeches in a song. Paul and Deirdre have memories of having sex at a concert 20 years before, driving Stuart jealous.

Mike Barratt leads his team on the team-building course, but he steps on an illegal animal trap and breaks his leg. The others must quickly improvise treatment out in the field, or Barratt could lose his leg, or even his life.

Bertha and Sofia arrange for the company to force Patricia to undergo tests, including a blood test for pregnancy. But she does not appear as insured in the contract.
