The first set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. The auditions begin in Liverpool where a break dancer who strips whilst standing on his head fails to impress the judges. Male harmony group, Geek Chic do manage to impress though and make it through to the next stage of the competition. Blair Christie attempts to impress the judges with his odd impression of a dolphin. More unsuccessful acts fails to impress the judges until Tim manages to impress with his crazy dance routine. The auditions move onto Cardiff where Antonio manages to impress the judges with his weird eye popping routine. More acts manage to impress the judges before 19 year old Micheal Collings performs on stage. He manages to impress all the judges with his vocals. Husband and wife duo Alan and Gaye Cooper manage to impress the audience and the judges with their bell ringing routine.
The second set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. The auditions are in Manchester and first up is a martial arts expert call Mickey who does press ups on nails but he fails to impress the judges. Grace and her grandfather Ted are next up and they sing in front of the judges. They manage to impress the judges with their unique performance and gain a place in the next round of the competition. Les Gibson also manages to impress the judges with his impressions but not everyone else is so successful as more hopes are dashed by the judges including Elaine who fails to impress the judges with her stand up comedy. Pippa Langhorne and her dog Buddy manage to impress the judges with their vocal performance and gain a standing ovation from the audience. Razy also impresses with his dance routine and sails through to the next stage of the competition. The auditions move onto Glasgow where teacher Edward Reed manages to entertain the judges with his unique vocal rendition.
The third set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. Louis Walsh stands in for David on the judging panel. 7 year old Olivia recites a poem on stage whilst a snake is wrapped around her neck and gets a great reaction from the audience and the judges. TKD Remix a martial arts trio also manage to impress the judges. A dance troupe called The Underground Dance Company perform on stage with them all looking like Edward Scissorhands but they fail to impress the judges and make it through. A boy band called Out Of The Blue also manage to impress the judges. Not all the acts are quite so successful as more hopes are dashed by the judges. 12 year old Ronan manages to impress all the judges with his rendition of Feeling Good.
The fourth set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. James Holby who is autistic manages to wow the judges and audience with his ballet routine. Angela and her dog Teddy manage to impress the judges with the dog's cockney themed dance. Others to impress include violinist Alexandra Parker.
The fifth set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges. The auditions begin in Manchester where John Evans, a retired builder, attempts to balance 20 buckets on his head. Michael and David disagree about different acts and whether they should make it through to the next round. Lorna Bliss, a Brittany Spears impersonator, fails to impress the judges. Jai McDowall, a singer, is much more successful though and sails through to the next stage of the competition. When the auditions move on to Birmingham an act called Circus of Horrors manage to impress all the judges and make it through. Others to impress include a dance trio called Two and a Half Men.
The sixth set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. Illusionists David and Karen manage to impress the judges with their act. Melanie and her chihuahua dogs Twizzle and Tucker have the judges in stitches with their performance. Paul's piano performance wows the crowds but it divided the judges' opinions but he still manages to make it through. Seven year old, Robbie Firmin manages to impress all the judges with his rendition of Frank Sinatra's My Way. Others to impress include The Right Path.
The final set of auditions take place as the hopefuls have one last chance to impress. The judges then have to decide which 40 acts who have made it through from the auditions will then go forward to the live semi finals. When they judges cant agree some of the acts are forced to perform again before the final 40 are revealed.
The first set of semi finalists attempt to impress the judges and viewers at home. Most of the acts manage to put in a good performance with only Stuart Arnold being buzzed by two of the judges during his performance. After all eight have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.
Last year's winners Spelbound return and perform live on stage. Ant and Dec reveal that Joe, Ronan and Paul are in the top three. They then reveal that Ronan has topped the public vote and gained the first place in Saturday's final. The judges are then split in their decision and to decide the second person who has made it through and it reverts back to the public vote. Ant and Dec then reveal that Paul is also through.
The second set of semi finalists attempt to impress the judges and viewers at home. Several of the acts get buzzed tonight but none of them by all four judges. Acts that stand out from the others are Two And A Half Men, New Bounce and magic act David and Karen. After all eight have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.
The cast of Shrek the Musical perform live on stage. Ant and Dec reveal that New Bounce, David & Karen and Jean are in the top three. Ant and Dec then announce that New Bounce has topped the public vote and gained a place in the final. The judges then decide to put Jean into the final as well.
The third set of semi finalists attempt to impress the judges and viewers at home. Wachiraporn is buzzed by three of the judges. Tonight's stand out acts are Les and James. After all eight have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.
Avril Lavigne performs live on stage. Ant and Dec reveal that James, Les and Aeolian Chimes are in the top three tonight. They then reveal that Les has topped the public vote. The judges then decide to put James through to the final as well.
The fourth set of semi finalists attempt to impress the judges and viewers at home. Tonight is a crazy show with very few of the acts receiving any buzzes. Out Of The Blue, Jai and Edward stand out as tonight's top acts. After all eight have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.
Jessie J performs live on stage. Ant and Dec reveal that Edward, Jai and Steven are in the top three. They then reveal that Jai has topped the public vote and gained a place in the final. The judges then decide to put Steven through to the final as well.
The fifth set of semi finalists attempt to impress the judges and viewers at home. Anthony becomes the only act from the semi final to receive four buzzes. The rest of the acts all manage to put in great performances making it the hardest of the semi finals to call who will make it through to the final. After all eight have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.
JLS and Diversity perform live on stage. Ant and Dec reveal that Michael, Razy and Pippa are in the top three. They then reveal that Razy has topped the public vote. Simon insists that both the other acts be put through but Ant and Dec insist that he chooses. The judges then decide to put Michael through as well.
The ten acts who have made it through to the final perform one lat hoping to impress both the judges and the viewers at home. Most of the acts manage to up their game following the semi finals.
Ant and Dec reveal that Ronan, Jai and New Bounce have made the top three. They then announce that New Bounce has finished in third place. Ant and Dec then announce Jai as this year's winner.
