We are introduced to Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, co-founders and lead investigators for The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS). Their Technical Manager, Brian Harnois, tells them of an interesting case. The home they are to investigate is in Altoona, PA which is several hours away, but because of the dramatic nature of the case they decide to make the long drive.

Jason, Grant and TAPS Team are called in to go investigate "The Lighthouse Inn" located in New London, Connecticut. the local residence and guests are plagued with many ghostly visions of a legendary bride who died on her wedding day in 1930, caused by falling down on a flight of stairs. The TAPS team finds evidence that includes unexplainable touching sensations that one of the team members, Steve, experiences; temperatures dropped suddenly in some places in the Inn. TAPS decides to deem the inn as inconclusive of being haunted, and asks to come back again to further research.
The team then goes to another investigation at pub in Ashland, Massachusetts called "Stone's Public House", a tavern built in the 1800s. rumors and legends had it that this establishment is haunted by a little girl who died after having been hit by a train. Strange noises and floating objects have been reported by bartenders in the pub. The team records a strange light that flickers on and off with no apparent reason and source, but later it is determined that the light was from one of the team's infrared illuminators; also some recordings of EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomena) are recorded, one saying the following: "We're not... ". and the rest of this EVP is undetermined. The case is dubbed as being inconclusive, but Jason and Grant wants to come back to do further researching on this Pub.
The TAPS team is called in by the "US Coast Guard" to investigate the "Race Rock Lighthouse" located in "Long Island Sound". This lighthouse has been renovated, to the point of being almost completely automated by itself so that their wouldn't any need to have a local resident living their, But still their are frequent maintenance and inspection to be done in the lighthouse, and so the Coast Guard officers must go and do their jobs their. These officers have reported several times of strange unexpected behavior in this lighthouse, that have caused them to be afraid of even going to the lighthouse, let alone work in it. The leading officers in the coast guard wants to disprove this haunting for obvious reasons.
During the investigation, the team records several flying orbs and a weird fogy mist, which could indicate a haunting. but their was some problems as to what time they recorded these events. Also Andy follows an Electro Magnetic Field (or also known as EMF) reading that seems to be moving on a vertical motion on a stairway; it was suggested that the old caretaker of the lighthouse before it was renovated use to go in the same motion as the recorded phenomena. In a related incident, TAPS ables to record a chair spontaneously moving by itself in a very short distance, with know one in the room at the time. This investigation was granted as being haunted or at least having some paranormal activity in it.
Jason, Grant and TAPS Team are called in to go investigate a long abandoned well known prison in New England, that has its shares in history, known as "Eastern State Penitentiary". also well known for its paranormal activities, and its notable prisoners like Willie Sutton and Al Capone. TAPS tries to prove/disprove the occurrences plaguing the abandoned building. During the investigation, TAPS captures on film a man-like shadowy figure running across a higher floor walkway. Intrigued by this footage, the TAPS team decides to return in the hopes of capturing it again, and/or to disprove this was real or not. Also, While they are on the second day there, the TAPS team captures many flying orbs on video, but later are dismissed as just being dust particles reflected by light. Jason and Grant tries to recreate the shadowy figured man by duplicating the events and situation by means of covering someone up in a dark blanket, while then running across the same walkway to see if this was capable of the camera to pic up. Grant had to dismiss this case as being inconclusive, because the footage could of been anything from a hoax to the camera causing pixilation. Grant and Jason decided to add this clip to their website so that the viewers could determine for themselves if this was real or a camera illusion.
The TAPS team goes to investigate Brian's friends alleged haunted house. whose home was a Church in the late 19th century. The residence of the house has claimed to of experienced apparitions, doors opening spontaneously by themselves and also of heard strange noises. From the research TAPS made, they only came up with orbs manifests, which were proven to be only ordinary dust particles. and the sounds were just caused from the old bell rings in the attic and old wood creaking. The TAPS team recreated many scenarios to which the local resident could of mistaken the sounds and door slams he could of heard and saw. The case was determined inconclusive with no viable evidence whatsoever.
On this episode, Jason, Grant and the TAPS Team goes to New Bedford, Mass to investigate armory that is eligibly haunted. The TAPS team pics up unusual thermal images on their equipment, which detects a warm pattern flowing through the lens of the camera. Also, during the same investigation, a sound recordists for the show ("Frank DeAngelis" Filming crew) suddenly out of nowhere, falls down, and stays down in a sort of "shock" state. Upon further investigation and video recordings find out that the equipment he was carrying spontaneously lifted up and hit him on the head and his back. This has been determined by TAPS to be an encounter.
On this episode, The TAPS team Investigate a rumored haunting at a college student group house, were the hauntings could of been explained by college humor and drunken neighbors.
The team also goes to investigate an alleged haunting at a Pub, were witnesses and local owners have had close encounters with abnormal, spiritual events, from a ghostly figure of a little girl who trips constantly trips on steps, and who mischiefly moves glasses around tables; to strange noises or voices and odd smells, like sent of roses in the pub's cellar. Jason and grant deem this to be inconclusive do to lack of evidence, although they do show some interesting footage they found.
The TAPS Team gets a call from Mike Sinclair, the founder of O.R.I.O.N. Paranormal and a very good friend to the TAPS organization, to co-investigate a Boston Inn. While investigating, a strange occurrence happens, a pen suddenly starts to move by itself while filming, no one else was in the room while this occurred. The results that the TAPS team give are inconclusive. The team also travels to Pittsburgh, to investigate the home of local residence Gloria and Genny. Both of which have had ill and frightening experiences in their house. TAPS couldn't determine if the house was truly haunted do to lack of evidence.
Jason, Grant and TAPS Team go to Albany, NY to investigate a house were the local residence , Linda Johnson, claims to have be "psychically sensitive" to a negative or "demonic" entity. There was no extraordinary evidence found to conclude the house to be haunted. The team also goes to another investigation, this time they meet a local resident, Adam Zubrowski, who has been experiencing unusual events. Two strange EVPs (Electric Voice Phenomena) were recorded during the investigation, that have very shocking messages, seemingly familiar to Adam. Adam's house was built by his late grandparents, and so he belives it to be the voice of his late grandfather. This leads the TAPS team to concluded that the house is in fact haunted.
