On the third season opener, the TAPS team goes to Investigate an alleged hunting's at the Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona, which is a famous old-West nightspot, said to have been frequented by legendary figures such as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday while it operated in the 1880s.
On the second episode of the season two parter, the TAPS team continues their investigation at the site of a legendary 1881 Wild West shoot-out involving the Earp brothers, Doc Holliday and the Clanton gang in O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. Also the TAPS team investigates alleged paranormal activities in the Copper Queen Hotel in Brisbee, Arizona.
The TAPS team travels to a Vermont home to investigate some alleged hunted activities plaguing the home and its residents. Later, TAPS travels to an old closed penitentiary called "The West Virginia State Penitentiary" in Moundsville, West Virginia to investigate phenomena attributed to "shadow people". The penitentiary was attributed to be known to be one of the most bloodiest and unhappy penitentiary's in America.
TAPS goes to Massachusetts to investigate two paranormal investigations. TAPS explores an old Victorian mansion and later a bed and breakfast that use to be, in 1897, a manor.
This episode highlights the events from the Ghost Hunters Live Halloween special, in which the TAPS team investigated the Stanley Hotel located in Estes Park, Colorado. Which was the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining", .
On the Ghost Hunters mid season finale, TAPS heads over towards Ireland for their first ever investigation over seas. TAPS investigates an old Ireland Castle named The "Leap Castle" and also known as "The Elemental". TAPS tries to solve the mystery of the rumored hauntings that have been known to happen their.
Continuing with their Ireland trip, TAPS travels to Lisheen Castle to investigate possible fairy activity in an area near the Castle called "the Wrath". They then board a plane to London to investigate the Viaduct Tavern, built on the site of Newgate Prison, where strange voices and touches by unseen hands have been reported.
The TAPS team, still in Europe, go to explore a labyrinth under rural England known as the Hellfire Caves (also known as West Wycombe Caves), located in Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire, England. Place of which was used by a secret satanic society to protect its members and their stage rituals from being public. There have been numerous reports of phantom like men walking around, and disembodied voices roaming the caves.
TAPS also takes a side trip to the "Jack the Rippers Haunts Walk", which is a walking tour of locations of some of the most gruesome events of the history of Jack the Ripper.
When a mother comes to them for help, TAPS takes on a local case at the Tedeschi's House where strange voices are heard and toys come on by themselves. Then it's on to the MacLean's House to investigate strange noises and shaking that are coming from under the house. Jason and Grant head up to the attic where a whole new investigation begins.
TAPS travels to Chesapeake, Virginia to investigate the Keffer's House which suffers from apparitions, voices, and possibly a possessed doll. Then Steve is put in charge of his own investigation when he and TAPS head to Charlestown (Rhode Island) to investigate The General Stanton Inn where apparitions and voices have been seen and heard.
TAPS heads down to Corpus Christi, Texas to investigate the U.S.S. Lexington, an aircraft carrier where over 400 officers died on board during it's 21 out of 24 battles in WW2. Then it's on to a local case in Warwick at City Hall, where the sound of a woman crying has been heard and ghostly picture of a man was captured on a webcam.
The team investigate claims of paranormal activity at a house in Hollywood, CA near the site of the 1969 "Manson cuddles". Then TAPS heads to the film studio built by Charlie Chaplain to check out claims of activity including full apparitions.
New investigator Kris Williams joins the team for a trip to Seattle, where they search tunnels for ghosts from the Gold Rush era after probing cold spots at an abandoned psychiatric hospital known as the "Northern State Hospital".
TAPS heads to San Francisco to investigate claims of activity at the Presidio. Then they talk to a family who believe that an old employee and family friend is still coming to work 20 years after her passing.
The Gibbons family, in Seattle, WA, ask TAPS to investigate their home. The whole family has been having seemingly paranormal experiences ever since their orphaned niece has come to live with them. The family wants to find out what is going on, and whether the ghostly presence might be the girl's lost mother trying to make contact.
The congregation at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, in Prosser, WA, has suggested that the Reverend Jennings invite the Ghost Hunters to come in to examine a number of strange sounds, smells, and sights. Back in New England, TAPS then goes to the Sprague Mansion in Rhode Island, a beautiful building with ghost sightings dating back to 1925.
Jason and Grant finally travel to Salem, the place that sparked Donna's interest in the paranormal. There they investigate the Lyceum Bar and Grill, which is built on land once owned by the first victim of the infamous Salem witchcraft trials. Then, when Jason must race back home due to a family emergency, Grant is left to direct the team in their investigation of the Hawthorne Hotel.
The findings from the 2007 Halloween investigation of Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Ky. is revealed by TAPS. Also, the new ghost hunter picked from a nationwide search is revealed.
