In a pool challenge, the teams are tasked to hold a percentage of their body weight in order to keep their trainers from falling into a pool, and the last-place team loses its trainer for the week. Elsewhere, two eliminated contestants team up at Comeback Canyon; and one contestant gives her trainer a look at her past.
The players compete in a challenge involving water and giant treadmills, and the winning team gets a chance to penalize the two losing teams. Elsewhere, Bob Harper advises two Comeback Canyon contestants about setting priorities.
NFL stars Michael Irvin, Donald Driver and Willie McGinest visit the ranch, where they participate in a football challenge and offer the contestants training advice.
The ranch is rocked when the teams are dismantled and new teams are formed. Chef Rocco DiSpirito has to judge which team has managed to create the healthiest and tastiest dish.
The contestants have to try and lose 50 pounds collectively so that nobody has to go home. They also have to take part in a sand-pile challenge.
The teams disband and the players compete on their own for the first time in an obstacle course, with the grand prize being immunity. Later, the trainers surprise the players with videos featuring words of encouragement from loved ones.
The remaining six contestants make their way to the island of Kauai where they do everything that they can to avoid falling below this week's red line. They begin their trip at the scenic Waimea Canyon State Park before the trainers put them through an intense workout at Polihale beach. They then have to get into kayaks and paddle out in the ocean to retrieve a bag of puzzle pieces.
Conclusion. Contestants face their fears in Hawaii. Included: One player tries rappelling down a waterfall, and another goes rope-swinging through the jungle. Later, the contestants use coconuts to tackle a lacrosse-inspired obstacle course.
The contestants get makeovers from fashion guru Timballoonn and hairstylist Ken Paves, and then they're reunited with loved ones on a rooftop overlooking the Los Angeles skyline. Included: a performance by Gavin DeGraw.

The contestants walk into the gym to see Jenna Wolfe, the lifestyle and fitness correspondent for the Today Show. Despite being seven months pregnant, Jenna shows the players how to work out without a gym. At the same time, Bob Harper gives the other trainers a workout of a lifetime.
Contestants from this season reunite and reveal how much weight they've lost; the at-home winner is revealed; the grand-prize winner is announced.
