Chicago's diverse neighborhoods (and dive bars) are toured by Anthony Bourdain as Season 2 begins. Among the highlights: the International Museum of Surgical Science; and an informal poll of locals as to whether they really eat deep-dish pizza. Also: hot dogs, Polish sausages and Italian beef sandwiches are sampled.
In Paris, Tony does as the French do. He sips coffee at Le Pure Café, sits down at Le Dome for an enormous shellfish tower, discovers the lost art of bread baking and indulges in a guilty pleasure: a duck press.
Tony takes a cheese-steak-free tour of Philadelphia, during which he samples chef Marc Vetri's modern take on Israeli cuisine. Later, he hangs at the neighborhood bar Dirty Frank's, and follows in the Founding Fathers' footsteps.
In Sao Paulo, Anthony Bourdain stays in an eccentric boat-shaped hotel, dines with friends at Alex Atala's famous D.O.M. restaurant, checks out the street graffiti with celebrated artist Speto and has nose-to-tail food at Mocoto.
Culinary finds in Toronto include Mexican takeout, hand-cut fries with cheese curds, and a sandwich made with peameal bacon.
Anthony spends 36 hours in Dublin, Ireland, during which time he checks out the food scene and dines on sweetbreads, pork stew and lamb.
Tony tours Atlanta in a muscle car, making a stop to shootballoons with Empire State South executive chef Ryan Smith. He also visits the city's oldest strip club and eats a burger at Holeman & Finch Public House.
Tony explores Taipei, Taiwan, and visits one of the largest skyscrapers in the world, as well as a museum that has a piece of jade carved into the shape of pork on display.
In New Orleans, the town of excess, Tony indulges in fresh seafood, drinks Sazerac with Davis Rogan, hits The Kingpin and finishes off his bar crawl with tacos from one of the nation's top 20 food trucks.
Anthony spends time in Seattle, where he visits an artisan-cheese shop. Later, he gets an aerial view of the city from a seaplane, and then explores the city's underbelly.
