As election day for the U.S. President approaches, Ruthie is on a mission to develop her own opinions about politics after seeing how much Martin knows about world politics - especially after a student confrontation at school between their peers. Meanwhile, both Eric and Annie are suspicious that the other did not vote in the last Presidential election. Also, Lucy is feeling the pressure of registering to vote and is surprised to learn that Kevin hasn't changed his address and therefore isn't registered either to vote in their area. Eric is having a hard time teaching Sam and David that politics are not stupid and are very important when it comes to elections. At the same time, Eric aggressively reminds everyone in the family to vote - even so much as to making long distant phone calls to Matt (guest-star Barry Waton), Mary and Carlos (guest-star Carlos Ponce) in New York.

Stunt #1: Rolling Flag Snag Contestants would have to shimmy out on a horizontal pole jutting from the front of a giant dump truck and release a flag. They would then have to return to the top of the truck, release another flag, then shimmy out on a second pole and release a third flag. After releasing the last flag, contestants would have to drop off the pole to stop the time. The two men and the two women with the fastest times would advance to the next round, the others would be eliminated.

Andy puts his foot in his mouth by picking a fight with Everwood's patron saint, Amanda Hayes (Anne Heche), who, unbeknownst to Andy, has been caring for her profoundly disabled husband (guest-star Jason Beghe) for the past five years. After visiting a police training facility in upstate New York, and pepper spraying Keith, Paul Jr. and Vinnie nail out the details of this one of a kind bike, such as a sidecar and the intricate lighting system.

E-mails and text messages trigger a mass gathering of students to perform a random task on a golf course. However, as the crowd disperses, the body of a high school student is found. The original message triggering the "flash mob" is traced to a high school senior whose father is a high-powered defense attorney. The case changes direction when Horatio and the team learn that the schoolmaster's daughter may have had something to do with the murder and evidence reveals that the victim was having an affair with his chemistry teacher.

When an ex marine's wife shows up at the Montecito looking for Danny so she could look after her son for a few hours, Danny agrees but he realizes that something is wrong when she doesn't return. Sam plays Casino host to Bernard Taylor who wishes to loose all his money so his wife wont get any of it. Delinda, Mary and Nessa get lost in the desert and must remain calm until Clint Black comes to rescue them.

After the previous night's attack, Ichigo decides to check up on his family and finds that they do not remember anything that happened. In school, Ichigo meets the Soul Reaper from the night before, Rukia Kuchiki; she is posing as an exchange student until her powers return. Rukia tells Ichigo that he must take her place as a Soul Reaper for now. Later when attacking a Hollow, Ichigo recognizes the Hollow as Orihime Inoue's older brother.
