Malcolm helps Reese make the grade with his schoolwork, while Francis is banished to a friend's house for defying Lois's order to patch the roof.

A new kid comes to Springfield Elementary and Lisa attempts to make friends with this new girl, but for all her trouble she just winds up the victim of this female version of Nelson. Lisa discovers the cause; pheromones given off by nerds are what attract bullies and she presents her findings where there needed most, the "12th Annual Big Science Thing". Meanwhile, after a visit from a baby safety consultant gets the Simpson home safe, Homer decides to go into the safety industry, making Springfield safe for all children.

With Hank's encouragement, Luanne signs up for a "born-again virgin" program at the church. This leads Peggy to confess something that Hank doesn't know: she had already slept with one other man before she married Hank. Luanne meets a 22 year-old "real virgin," Rhett Vandergraaf, who wants to sleep with Luanne so much that he asks her to marry him, and she accepts. When Peggy objects, Luanne blurts out her secret in front of Hank.

An influential Japanese businessman who is running an illegal whaling fleet comes to consciousness in a traditional-looking Japanese room. He's threatened by Toshiro in Japanese. Frohike makes an appearance that is truly amazing, and an homage to all those samurai movies and Hong Kong kick flicks you've ever seen. As Frohike attempts to coerce the information about the whaling fleet out of the businessman, we see that it's really a setup by the Gunmen, with their friend's help, to expose the illegal whaling operation. The teaser includes a fight sequence with a shot where Frohike Sensei kicks Toshiro through a wall! [Editor's note: This is hilarious.] Melvin Frohike -- Man of Action!
Our story opens with one Alex Goldsmith, hacker extraordinaire (also known as Double Bogey or DB), whacking golf balls from a balcony in the middle of the night, tears running down his cheeks. He whacks one ball into the windshield of an expensive black car, just before he's shot and killed.

Christopher discovers that being made is not what he thought it would be like. Janice moves into her mother's house as she tries to get her mother's prized record collection from Svetlana. Dr. Melfi tries to find out why meat causes Tony to have his panic attacks. Meadow is upset about Tony's little talk with her boyfriend, Noah. Meanwhile, AJ discovers a hidden talent.

Brian gets involved briefly with Kip, a younger co-worker who's been with the company only a few months. Melanie flirts with one of the guests at a baby shower she and Lindsay are hosting for another lesbian couple. When Ted and Michael discover Emmett is throwing out his porn collection and toys, he tells them about the "See the Light" group he's joined. After another fight with Lindsay, Melanie ends up at a bar with Marianne, then back at her place. When Ted and Michael discover that Emmett's favorite porn star is in town, they offer him $1,000 to seduce Emmett and "save" him from the group they believe is brainwashing him. Brian refuses Kip's request that he recommend him for a promotion on the grounds that he doesn't have enough experience, then reminds him not to expect special favors just because they're both gay. Melanie confesses to Lindsay that she cheated on her and moves out. Emmett tells Michael and Ted that he resisted the temptation that was Zack O'Tool, and that he must distance himself from them if he wants to continue seeing the "true light". Ryder informs Brian that Kip is suing him and the company for sexual harassment.

After a string of bad luck, Fry remembers back to when he was growing up in New York and his older brother, Yancy, was stealing his good ideas - until the discovery of a rare seven-leaf clover that reversed Fry's luck. Now in the year 3001, Fry sets out in hopes of regaining his luckier days by recovering the charm from the underground ruins of Old New York and the family homestead. But strong-minded Fry becomes incensed with his unexpected discoveries.
