Reese discovers he has a gift for cooking, Malcolm urges his classmate to call off a party and Francis is forced to write a term paper.

The Simpson family goes to "Blockoland". When Lisa gets ripped off, Homer sticks up for her and is successful. He vows to start helping the little guy. He helps Bart get a girlfriend and helps Marge get her hair streaked. He even tries to help Lenny get a refund from the Springfield Isotopes' owner, H.K. Duff VIII. In doing so, he discovers that the owner is moving the baseball team to Albuquerque. He tries to tell the media about it, but they don't believe him. He vows to go on a hunger strike to call attention to the situation. This seems hopeless, because of Homer's voracious appetite. He chains himself to a lawn chair and starts getting a lot of attention. Then management, seizing an opportunity, begins exploiting him until the truth finally comes out about the Albuquerque deal.

A doctor tells Dale that inhaling dangerous chemicals is affecting his health, and if he doesn't give up exterminating, he'll die. Hank gets Dale a new job as a faceless drone at the adhesives company, Stik Tek. But Dale's experience at killing living things proves invaluable when he is placed in charge of telling people they're fired. Meanwhile, Joseph and Dale are preparing for a "hatch".

Teaser: A Mission-Impossible style break-in as Frohike and Byers attempt to steal the Octium IV chip from E-Com-Con's top security room. Langly fakes an allergy attack to distract security from their monitors. A 'Bearded Man' is seen, and Langly obviously recognizes him. The 'Bearded Man' takes advantage of the chaos to steal the chip -- right out from under Frohike's nose -- by hijacking the software that Byers is using to run the winch for Frohike's little trapeze getup.
Byers is informed of his father's mysterious death. He hadn't spoken to his father in 11 years, since he got together with Frohike and Langly to start publishing the weekly newsletter, The Lone Gunman. At the funeral, a Mr. Helm introduces himself to Johnny as his father's long time friend, and offers to talk with him about his father's death.
As the death is investigated, the Gunmen become more and more entangled in a terrorist plot (Scenario 12-D), eventually facing off against a governmental power known as Overlo

The Feds are still trying to get their RICO case against Tony, but have trouble since Pussy is sleeping with the fishes. Therefore, they get a bug for the Sopranos basement. Meanwhile, Patsy Parisi, twin brother of the deceased Philly Parisi, possibly knows how his brother died.

Racial tensions flair and Tony suffers another panic attack when he meets Meadow's new boyfriend from college.
The FBI finds a new member of the Soprano crew to use as a rat, while another Soprano soldier resorts to violence over garbage routes.
Livia's sudden death puts an end to Tony's worries about her testimony against him. Janice returns to participate in her funeral, but all does not go smoothly when the guests start airing their true feelings about Tony's departed mother.

Michael is still not speaking to Brian. Tracy is more upset that Michael has been lying to her than she is about his being gay, but they work things out. Michael and David enjoy their new found domestic bliss, though not without a few bumps. A miserable Brian begins spending his free time with Ted, his son and their mothers. Ted is delighted because he's getting Brian's numerous rejects, but his constant presence is driving Melanie crazy. Determined to give up men forever, Emmett joins a "conversion therapy" group. Lindsay and Melanie continue to fight about Brian, finances and their future. Realizing how much Michael and Brian care about each other, Justin engineers sort-of a reconciliation between them.

The Professor decides to ship hazardous cargo to the outer reaches of space, but the course chartered takes the ship through some environmentally sensitive areas-- including the penguin refuge on Pluto. Leela refuses to transport the dangerous cargo, so the professor removes her from command and installs Bender as captain. While Bender is piloting the ship, he allows his attention to drift and accidentally showers the penguins with oily goop.
