Five seperate stories in this episode has the gang encountering a paranormal force which spells future doom. While out on patrol, Buffy squares off with a former classmate and current vampire, who goads her into revealing her insecurities. Back at home, Dawn is thrown into a panic when an invisible force trashes the Summers' house and deposits the corpse of her mother on the sofa. The ghost of Cassie visits Willow under the guise of being sent by Tara; and Spike apparently has returned to his killing ways. Meanwhile, nerdy villains Jonathan and Andrew return from Mexico.

Determined to win the annual Stars Hollow 24-hour dance marathon, Lorelai forces Rory to be her partner. While everyone in town dances around them, Rory and Jess can't seem to stop arguing with each other, a fact that is not lost on Dean. Meanwhile, Lane and Paris are both surprised when the boys they like drop by to see them.

Paul's plan backfires when--after telling Bridget to tell Kyle the truth about her date with another boy -- Kyle breaks up with her. Meanwhile, Kerry's first date turns out to be a dream, but she is devastated when the boy doesn't call her back.

Ryan (from "Stray") returns and Clark has to save him from Dr. Garner of the Summerholt Research Facility. Meanwhile, Aunt Nell leaves Smallville, and Lex wants to expand the plant but runs afoul of the mayor.

Fez goes for a job at the DMV. Donna buys Eric a ugly man ring.

Jack warns Lynne about the impending bombing of CTU, but her efforts to alert Palmer are sabotaged by Eric, who has his own agenda.



George locates the warehouse where the nuclear bomb was built, but his discovery results in an unexpected tragedy.



Kim takes Megan to CTU, believing that it is the safest place for both of them.

Dana gets selected to be on the reality show The Bachelor. At first she's sure her personality alone will be enough to entertain the guy, but Jim gives her advice on how to behave and what to say to the guy. Dana thinks he's full of crap, but after her date goes bad she tries Jim's recipe and scores a second date. She arranges with Cheryl to bring the bachelor over to their house for dinner, and Cheryl couldn't be more thrilled to be on national television with a remodeled house. Jim is also very proud that Dana only got so far thanks to him, but the situation quickly takes an unexpected turn when Jim accidentally overhears the bachelor saying Dana will be easy to bring to bed and then he'll dump her. Now he goes out of his way to save Dana and ends up scaring the guy away with stories about Dana being a psycho. Later he explains to her his behavior and says she'll meet someone who's good enough for her.

Harm doesn't have much hope in his defense of a two-star general court-martialed for disobedience and reckless endangerment during a wargame. His job is made more complicated when, in a rare move, Mac is appointed as the judge.

Niles becomes concerned about a lingering toothache after his dentist assures him that there is nothing wrong with the tooth. He tells Roz that there is a chance that he may be suffering from referred pain; and that the pain could actually be a sign of a heart condition. Roz mocks him upon learning that there is only a one in 10,000 chance of this. However, Niles worries even more after experiencing a series of astonishingly improbable events - such as having his car struck by lightning, and twice winning a contest from a bottled water company for which there is only one winner in 10,000. He goes to see a doctor, who confirms his worst fears by telling him that he must be hospitalized immediately due to an irregularity in his EKG. Meanwhile, Frasier has difficulty finding a suitable housekeeper to replace Daphne. Martin is impressed by a young woman who is a sports fan; and insists on hiring her, in spite of Frasier's objections. However, she proves to be totally irresponsible, and rarely even shows up for work. Martin tries to handle all of her duties himself so that he won't have to admit that Frasier was right about her.
