With a deadly pathogen about to be released, Captain Archer barely makes it back to the Enterprise. His goal is now to track down the Klingon Bird-of-Prey and stop Dr. Arik Soong and the Augments from finding a location to raise thousands of Augment embryos.

Back in the Bird-of-Prey, Malik starts to question Dr. Soong's judgment when Soong wants to change the embryos' DNA to make them less violent and more human. Malik defies Soong's orders and takes leadership of the Augments. His goal is to create a war between the Humans and Klingon which would enable the Augments to grow in power. Soong realises his place is no longer with the Augments, and seeks to find an escape route off of the Bird-of-Prey. He realises that the only way he can stop Malik's plan is to join forces with Captain Archer.

Harper discovers a new weapon in the system that is powered by a crystal, which Harper feels will be able to power the Andromeda. Rhade and Dylan must go undercover working for Cutter to obtain the crystal he mines. Meanwhile, Andromeda and Doyle conflict over who controls the ship.

After being prodded by Judith to go on a real date, Joan and Adam nervously prepare for a romantic night at a fancy French restaurant. Little do they know that Judith has subsequently made some misguided plans for herself for that evening, which later causes the guilt-ridden Joan to wonder if she could have prevented her friend's misfortune.

Everyone in the Hennessy family fears the ringing of the phone when they all find themselves keeping secrets from one-another. Rory refuses to divulge the identity of the student responsible for bullying and beating him up at school, which leads Principal Gibb (Adam Arkin) on a mission to find the culprit and tell Cate; Bridget and Kerry use fake IDs to get into a club, where Bridget meets a cute guy and gives him her phone number -- before discovering that he's a cop (Colby Donaldson, ''Survivor''); Cate doesn't want the family to know that Bridget's tennis coach, Scott (Dan Cortese), is in hot pursuit to get her to go out on a date with him; and C.J. is distracted and forgets to pick up Rory's pain medication, which leads the pharmacist to call the house to find out if Rory's OK

A Naval Academy sailing team (that includes Bud's younger brother Mikey) is fighting a squall during practice when a female sailor is swept overboard and drowned. The JAG staff investigate whether the Commander was negligent when he ordered his team to sail through the squall.

May trains with her Skitty in preparation for the next contest when Skitty starts to learn Assist.

Needing to pass Mt. Chimney to reach Lavaridge Town, Ash and friends begin their journey over the mountain in a cable car. However Team Magma arrive in order to steal a meteorite that recently landed there from the local Professor. When Team Aqua also arrive to get the meteorite and disable the in-transit cable car, Ash manages to escape and decides to try and save the meteorite from the dueling rivals.

The remaining acts left in the competition have to sing live for the fourth time. Simon thinks that Louis has chosen the wrong song for G4 to sing. Steve gives a great performance as does Tabby. Once all six acts have performed the phone lines are opened for this week's vote.

Kate returns with the results of the viewer vote and reveals that G4 and Voices With Soul are in the bottom two. Once both groups have sang again in the final showdown it comes down to Louis to decide which of his two acts he wants to save. Louis finally decides to save G4 leaving Voices With Soul eliminated from the competition.

Things go from bad to worse for Comfort at Fin's funeral when she collapses with stomach pains. After being rushed to hospital Comfort is told her baby is alive but how much more heartache can Comfort take? Elsewhere Ellen continues to get Abs to agree to marry her so she can stay in the country but he tells her that in no way he will marry her. Guppy re-thinks his decision to be a doctor after yet another mistake and after keeping quiet about being given the brush off by Bex, Sam tells Bex he is embarrassed by their not so active night.
