Kahn covets membership in an all-Asian country club, and is finally invited, but only if he brings Hank and his family along. Hank is the one who is targeted for membership, but only to keep the club from being Asian exclusive.

When Texas is out of Hank's favorite Alamo Beer, he is eager to find out why. When his questions go unanswered, Peggy gains employment at the company to find out. Peggy doesn't want to divulge the reason because of a clause that she has signed--a vow of secrecy. Hank turns on Peggy for her company loyalty, and Peggy turns on Alamo, for their customer disloyalty.

When the junkie ends up murdered as well, their investigation focuses on his college classmate, a man with a history of drugging and sexually assaulting women.

Visiting her Aunt Sarah, Claire is surprised to meet an intriguing boy her own age amidst Sarah's hard-partying "artist" friends. Brenda's prostitute pal Melissa inspires some unusual fantasies. Keith warms up to David after a medical emergency involving his niece Taylor. Ruth invites Robbie to dinner to spare herself another lonely evening, but his chatter renews her appreciation for the beauty of a silent home. Bender attempts to become a chef, and is quickly rejected by the Planet Express crew. He then turns to the chef that inspired him, Elzar who also rejects him. Bender soon makes friends with some space hobos and, coincidently, one of them is Helmut Spargel, formerly the world's greatest chef. Helmut takes Bender under his wing and trains him to be a master chef by giving him a secret weapon -- a crystal vile containing 'the pure essence of flavor'. A now confident Bender challenges Elzar to a competition in the televised kitchen coliseum known as the 'Iron Cook' show.
