Archer receives news that A.G. Robinson, his old rival in the early days of the NX test program, has died. During a shuttlepod mission, Archer reminisces to T'Pol about the time he and Robinson were pilots competing for the honor of being the first to break the Warp 2 barrier.

The crew of the Enterprise encounters Skalaar, a Tellarite who offers to give them a tour of a nearby planet. As it turns out, Skalaar is actually a bounty hunter who kidnaps Archer, planning to turn him over to the Klingons for a reward. The Klingons have apparently placed a substantial price on Archer's head since his escape from Rura Penthe. Archer tries to plead his case with Skalaar, but the Tellarite doesn't want to listen, and claims not to care if Archer is guilty of the crime he was imprisoned for. Archer soon learns that Skalaar plans on using the substantial reward money to buy back his cargo ship, the Tezra.

The series finale finds the gang 5 years older and everyone is meeting up in Capeside for a wedding. Dawson is a director for a TV show called "The Creek". Jack is a Capeside school teacher in love with the town sheriff. Pacey re-opened the Ice House. Jen is a single mother still living with Grams. And Joey is a book editor living in NYC with her current boyfriend.

As the 5th season closes Jackie has to make her decision between Kelso or Hyde. And Fez has to leave America since he graduated.

All the friends try to cope with the revelation that one of them will pass away very soon. Jen rebuilds her bond between all of her friends, as well as gives her daughter some words of Wisdom. Jack continues to struggle with the curve balls life has thrown him, but starts to think positively about his future. Meanwhile, Joey is forced to choose once and for all between Pacey and Dawson, and finally realizes that the answer has been with her all this time.

After Bartlet learns that Zoey's kidnapping was arranged by Qumari terrorists, Washington D.C. is shut down as the search for his daughter begins. Thinking he may do something impulsive, Bartlet decides to evoke the 25th Amendment to avoid conflict of interest while the staff fears that terrorists might have orchestrated Zoey's kidnapping. Meanwhile, Toby gets his first taste of fatherhood when Andy gives birth to twins ? one boy and one girl. However, the moment proves to be bittersweet as Toby fears for Zoey's safety and fears that he might not be a good father to his newborn twins.

It's a race against time as the detectives go on the hunt for a sniper whose victims are shot in broad daylight.
