Hoshi is in her quarters one night when she hears whispering and spies a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows. She alerts Reed, but when she turns back to the figure, it has disappeared. Reed scans for intruders, but nothing turns up. Later, as Hoshi attempts to translate some of the Xindi database, she once again hears voices and sees the mysterious figure. She also has a vision of being in a strange alien sanctuary. Alarmed, Hoshi visits Phlox, who examines her but doesn't find anything out of the ordinary. As they talk, the mysterious alien presence once again visits Hoshi - in the form of Phlox. He tells her that he's been studying her mind for several days and that he has a form of telepathy that only works in rare instances. He also tells her that he knows Enterprise is on an urgent mission and would like to talk to her about it.

Chris pressures John into setting a time and a place for their first date, only to have it interrupted by a medical emergency; Hector talks Jake into making some extra money by participating in a drug test that goes terribly awry; Linda makes Margaret feel guilty about getting out of paying a traffic ticket.

Clark discovers someone is hunting people affected by the kryptonite rocks and the killer's next target is Lex. Clark uses his powers to save Lex, but is caught off guard when the killer learns his weakness and shoots him with a kryptonite bullet.

Fred still continues to find ways to corporealize Spike, although is not having as much luck as she hopes for. Angel kills a werewolf, although not enough time to save a girl, Nina, from being bitten. It is up to Angel to help Nina get through this time, especially when she could be in danger!

Jake gets time off to travels to Seattle to be best man at a friend's wedding. However, one of the lab rats with nanites has died and Diane goes to check up on him. Jake has bigger problems, though: a mysterious stalker is trying to kill him and get hold of the nanite tech.

During a romantic dinner, Doug is inspired to proclaim his love to Carrie. Carrie is taken by his gesture and suggests that they renew their vows. The two find that planning the wedding is much more troublesome than expected. The ceremony is on again, off again as Doug and Carrie are faced with endless complications, including finding a chimp to serve as Doug's best man. In the midst of the wedding planning Arthur is praying that his wedding present, aged Port wine, will go unused when he discovers the value of the fine wine on E-bay.

Spinner shuns Marco because he's gay. Snake goes to unusual lengths to raise money for the school.
