The Camdens find themselves in a series of difficult predicaments: Eric (Stephen Collins) tries to avoid telling his parents, Ruth (guest star Barbara Rush) and the Colonel (guest star Peter Graves), about Mary's (Jessica Biel, who does not appear in this episode) divorce, Simon (David Gallagher) is pressured by his fiancée Rose (Sarah Thompson) to move up their wedding date, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) realizes that being Associate Pastor is a harder job than she imagined, Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) sets her sights on a senior in her highschool, and Martin (Tyler Hoechlin) learns that Sandy (Haylie Duff), a college girl he met over the summer, may be pregnant with his child.

Michael is back at the helm of the company and since all things seem to be going smoothly, he decides to take George Michael to the family cabin. But things take a bad turn when Michael decides to track down his father which leads him to Reno. Incredible sightings and events, all revolving around the sea, begin to pour in from all over the world. It would appear that there is a strange , powerful new type of sea creature appearing all over the globe. Oceanographers all over are studying this new creature. These oceanographers and researchers include Laura Daughtery, David Lee, a Pentagon official and Dr. Aleksander Cirko, a government scientist. Richard Connelly, an insurance salesman, is also interested in the creatures, and his interest leads him to Laura.

Meanwhile, a young boy, Miles, discovers an odd egg near the ocean, and, excited, decides to care from it and wait for it to hatch.

Wanda wears a skirt to work and notices that Brent is acting differently; but is it the clothes, or something else? Oscar and Hank play at investing in the stock markets; Emma lends a helping hand to Lacey and later regrets it; Karen and Davis try to manipulate each other.

Jack Bourdain was a great chef four years ago until he made his own demise. Nowadays, he works in a children's restaurant run by his girlfriend. But his luck is about to change: Pino Lugeria, owner of Nolita, wants Jack to take over as head chef and to assemble a crew in 48 hours. For this, he goes back to his old friends offering all of them a chance to work together again. But this decision does not sit well with Pino's daughter, Mimi, who resents Jack.

OCC is given the oppurtunity to build a Yankee-inspired bike for the Jorge Posada Foundation. Paul Jr. takes to the field in designing a one-of-a-kind baseball themed bike that includes bat-shaped handlebars and a primary cover with an etching of Yankee Stadium. Struck with inspiration, Paul Sr. arranges for a softball game between OCC and Orange County Ironworks.

Doug convinces Carrie to take pole dancing lessons, but is disappointed when she puts on a show for him. Meanwhile, Arthur worries her new hobby is a result of his poor parenting, and smothers her in effort to make up lost time.

A new year begins and Manny wants to continue to act. After a disappointing audition, she contemplates plastic surgery. When things can't seem to get worse, Manny bares it all for Peter, the new kid with a video camera. Craig gets a check from his late father.

The team must find the connection between the two crime scenes; the killing of a drug dealer and the rape of a well-off family 's housekeeper who happens to be pregnant with her boss's child.

The new owner of the Montecito is revealed to be Monica Mancuso a young woman who married a billionaire and inherited his fortune. Ed is worried that the Montecito will be the next target for a robbery after several attacks on other casinos. Ed tries to convince Monica to postpone the opening to be better prepared, but she refuses. Ed entices Danny to rejoin the Montecito and he then gets Sam to return for the opening and bring some of biggest whales.

While Capt. Push lingers between life and death, Allison struggles to decipher confusing messages from the other side in an attempt to stop a serial killer before he claims his next victim.

Nancy hires an employee, and becomes known to a rival in the process. Shane makes a new friend, and Andy gets to know the new friend's mother. Celia's mother comes to visit after Celia's surgery.

Matt continues to taunt Jorge. Team Franklin adopts some bizarre training practices. And two more heavyweights go toe to toe in the Octagon.

With the popularity of his show going down Don Kan'onji decides to reform the Karakura team. The first one he recruits is Kon. Then Ururu, Jinta and Yuzu end up joining them. After receiving some abuse from the others Kon runs away and ends up being captured by a Hollow.
