An inspector comes to the model home to check the plumbing, forcing George, Sr. to leave the attic to avoid being discovered. G.O.B. offers to help his father, but ends up doing more harm than good. Meanwhile, Ann and George Michael boycott 'Dangerous Liaisons', but inadvertently make it more successful, and Tobias and Kitty begin to hit it off.

Zankou sends his minions to attack Leo, in the hopes of luring the sisters into a battle, so that he can steal the Nexus from under their house. Also, young Wyatt is scared for his parents welfare, and proceeds to shrink them to doll size for what he believes is their own protection.

Bart and Lisa find themselves in Prof. Frink's basement and he uses the science of astrology on his new computer to show them their future, eight years from next Tuesday. In this future, Maggie is away on a trip to Alaska; Homer and Marge have separated and Bart and Lisa are getting ready for prom. Lisa's date is Milhouse, who and Bart is dating a skateboard chick named Jenda. Lisa is graduating 2 years early and is going to Yale (now owned by McDonalds) on a scholarship funded by Mr. Burns as punishment for stealing Christmas. Bart is also graduating and is ready to move to the next level of his relationship with Jenda, he wants to marry her but his vision of their future together makes her break it off. Working his part-time job at the Kwik-E-Mart, Bart winds up saving Mr. Burns life while delivering groceries. As a reward Mr. Burns gives him the scholarship that Lisa was to receive. Bart is back with Jenda, now that he has a future, but Bart finds his way back in Prof. Frink's old basement and sees Lisa's bleak future with Milhouse. He does the right thing and keeps her from destroying her life.

When smoking is banned in all Arlen restaurants and bars, an infuriated Dale stands up for the smoking community in an act of defiance by going from bar to bar disguised as the smoking bandit. When Joseph comes to idolize the "Bandit," Dale tries to keep his identity unknown. Peggy seeks to uncover the smoking bandit's secret identity for the Arlen Bystander.

Al reveals to Alma that Isringhouse is a Pinkerton hired by Brom's family, and that she is trying to frame Alma. He proposes a deal with her, because of his intense dislike of the Pinkertons. Joanie tells Charlie why she needed to sneak her remaining whores out of camp. Charlie responds by kicking the crap out of Woolcot in the middle of the street. Al calls a meeting of the town leaders to discuss issues. Cy reveals a bit too much when he gets quite upset. When E.B. realizes a meeting was held without him, he is annoyed.

Lynette learns that no good deed goes unpunished when she momentarily befriends the mean Mrs. McCluskey. Susan's mother (guest-star Lesley Ann Warren) decides to try and jump start her and her daughter's love lives. Susan later finds her mother in her kitchen with a man she picked up, and Susan asks her mother to get rid of him. Andrew talks to a priest about his feelings, and tells him of his shocking plans for his mother, Bree. Gabrielle has her credit card declined in an upscale restaurant, and Carlos sends Gabrielle a big message about what will happen if she leaves him. Gabrielle tells John that she still cares for him, and continues to sleep with him.

While George is feeling a little less masculine because of the way Izzie and Meredith have been treating him (like a sister), Izzie is assigned to a patient about to lose all of his masculinity. Cristina, true to her competitive spirit, shows up early and assigns herself to an ill woman, who happens to have been Meredith's moms scrub nurse. Alex, meanwhile, is busying himself copying and pasting pictures of Izzie's racy magazine spread all over the interns' locker room. And while Meredith is trying to cope with her mother's Alzheimer's, Derek treats a patient who has managed to get nails stuck in his head.

Dana is stunned when Alice requests a bold sexual favor from her. Burr Connor (guest star Tony Goldwyn) reveals a secret to Jenny. Jenny learns about Carmen's real feelings for Shane, Kit plans a romantic night for Benjamin, and Bette and Tina have an intimate encounter as they bond over their unborn baby.
