The Federation starship T'Kumbra, staffed with an all Vulcan crew, has docked at Deep Space Nine for repairs. Its Captain is Solok, who has an intense rivalry with the Captain of DS9. Since the holosuites on the T'Kumbra are down, Solok requests the use of the station's holosuites. In doing so, he puts forth the challenge to Sisko and his staff to best his Vulcan athletes in an old Terran form of competition: Baseball.

A transporter malfunction causes the Doctor's mobile emitter to fuse with some of Seven of Nine's Borg implants. When the emitter assimilates a crew member, Seven becomes aware of a Borg presence on Voyager. Worse, the Borg are also alerted to Voyager's presence.

The sisters absentee father returns to make up for lost time, but Prue isn't buying his story at all. Her suspicions turn out to be correct, as dear old dad is conspiring to steal The Book Of Shadows. Also, the Halliwells hire a handsome new handyman named Leo Wyatt.

A school economic assignment puts Dawson with Jen, Pacey with Andie and Joey by herself. Jen uses the opportunity to get closer to Dawson. Pacey misreads Andie's situation. Joey explores what life could be like as a successful career woman and accidently offends Bessie. Mitch and Gail consider an open marriage.

Ray has misgivings when Beth Botrelle, a woman he arrested years ago for murdering her police officer husband,is scheduled to be executed. Accompanied by Fraser, he tracks down evidence that proves her innocense.

After Dick almost bites into a "Fuzzy Buddy" in a fast-food restaurant burger, he becomes obsessed with the collectibles. Meanwhile, Tommy goes overboard on school spirit when he becomes the basketball team's mascot. The Solomons confront the collector mentality when they discover Fuzzy Buddies - highly collectible small plush animal toys. Sally enjoys the thrill of the hunt and the prospects for financial rewards, Harry just thinks they're cute, but for Dick it's deeper - he enjoys the sensation of collecting until it gets to be like a drug for him, and his family and friends have to do an intervention. In an effort to instill "pep" into Tommy, the basketball coach forces him to become the team mascot, "Hootie the Owl". Initially contemptuous, Tommy finds that folks (especially cute cheerleaders) dig him when he's in costume, and the power goes to his head. When the team loses, Tommy, high on school spirit, tackles the coach, landing him in the principal's office.

In the middle of a typical in-law squabble, Dharma and Greg answer an emergency call and rush to hospital. There they find a partially immobilized Pete, who has dislocated both shoulders in a bizarre car accident. Greg is not too pleased at Dharma's offer to nurse Pete back to health, and after a traumatic visit to Pete's apartment to pick up his cat gives her far too much insight into Pete's life (or lack thereof) Dharma finds herself committed to cleansing her house guest both physically and spiritually.

After a child in a day-care center dies of a virus, Briscoe and Curtis try to find the source of the infection, leading to a case involving an extramarital affair, embezzlement and a drug manufacturer.

On their way to a safari zone teeming with Pokemon, our heroes walk right into the middle of a jungle. Without knowing they are in a region in which Pokemon are protected, Ash tries to capture a Chansey and is arrested by Jenny, the safari ranger. After talking with the ranger, Ash is released, but not before he learns that there are Pokemon poachers in the area. Our heroes accompany the ranger into the forest, pursuing the poachers. Within the jungle, a young man leads a pack of Kangaskhan. His name is Tommy and no one knows the secret of his childhood.

In the Safari Zone, a lake contains the rare and mysterious Dratini.
