The Enterprise finally return home after their year long mission in Delphic Expanse. While everyone is gracious of their successful mission, Captain Archer is particularly anguished in losing 27 crew members during the mission. At the Command Council, Ambassador Soval accused Archer that he didn't do enough to saved the Vulcan ship he found in The Expanse. Admiral Forrest sees the need for Archer to have some relaxation time and orders him to take a shore leave before he leave on his next mission. A reluctant Archer decides to climb mountains to clear his head, but soon finds an old friend from his days at the command school comes and joins him.
Meanwhile T'Pol decides to visit her mother back in Vulcan and invites Trip to join her.

Beka receives a message from Virgil Vox, the radio personality, concerning a secret from her past. She follows his instructions to a secluded community, where she impersonates a dead child, who would be about her age now. Her "father" reveals that he has been guarding a secret and that it is now time for him to pass it on to her.

Things get dirty in a student council election as God instructs Joan to support a candidate; Helen must deal with a student who protests another students work of art.

Bridget and Kerry are ecstatic when Cate hands them the keys to the minivan, except for one provision -- they are responsible for driving Rory wherever he needs to go. But when the girls fail to deliver on their promise to chauffeur their little brother, he takes matters into his own hands and attempts to drive himself -- and wrecks the car in the process.

Kate introduces the first of the live final shows. Louis isn't impressed with Verity's performance. Most of the acts perform well and receive good coments from the judges. At the end of the show Kate reveals a sudden twist. The seven acts with the highest amount of viewer votes will go through to the next round and the remaining two have to sing again in the final showdown after which the judges have to decide who to put through.

Kate returns with the results of the public vote. Roberta and Voices With Soul learn that they are in the bottom two. Once both acts have performed again Louis and Sharon chose to save their own performers. Simon has the casting vote and decides to save Voices With Soul.

Comfort starts to really worry about the disappearance of her husband Fin tonight. Josh discovers Fin's knife in a patients pocket who confesses he found it. After overhearing the police discuss where the knife was found Comfort rushes straight over there. As the police search for Fin, a body is found and Selena is called to pronounce a death but is the body Fin's.Elsewhere Luke invites a beat up Kate to stay at his house to escape her abusive partner.
