The Walshes host a party to celebrate their twentieth anniversary. An unstable Dylan buys a gun from a private dealer and waves it around like a toy. Brandon breaks into Dylan's house to retrieve his parents' anniversary gift, and Dylan nearly shoots him. He promises to dispose of the weapon. Dylan warns Brandon that Stuart has an unsavory past. Stuart proposes to Brenda during the party. Everyone (except Jim's mother) is stunned when they announce their engagement. Mel dumps Erin off on David so that he can spend the weekend in Mexico with his girlfriend. Jackie is enraged when Erin becomes ill. Andrea reconsiders her relationship with Dan. When building superintendent Frank McKinnon is found murdered in the basement of the building he works and lives in, Logan and Briscoe initially investigate the crime as a potential break-in until forensics discovers that the 'break-in' was staged. The state's attention soon turns to Sean, Frank's 17-year-old son. Dr. Olivet determines the son is an abusive sociopath after interviewing him. But when the victim's wife claims that Frank beat his family on a regular basis, Stone and Kincaid try to determine who is telling the truth.

A Space Corps Law Enforcement Vessel chases Starbug and the crew make a crash landing on a GELF planet. They go in search of a vital ship part and come across a village who have the part but the price is for Lister to marry the chief's daughter. Lister reluctantly does so but on his wedding night, does a runner back to Starbug. The chief takes this as an insult and releases his pet Emohawk, a smaller polymorph (see Polymorph) on them. The Emohawk hides on Starbug and attacks Rimmer and Cat, taking Rimmer's bitterness and the Cat's cool; turning them into Ace Rimmer (see Dimension Jump) and Dwayne Dibbley (see Back to Reality). Ace, with his new personality, decides to save the day and locks Kryten and Lister in the hold so they will be safe while he and Dwayne go after the Emohawk. They eventually track it down and freeze it, forcing it to release their emotions and turning them back to normal.

The Warners go to Hades where Satan wants to torment them. Unfortunately, the Warners end up tormenting him. He kicks them out after Yakko freezes the place.

Wilford B. Wolf is interested in Minerva Mink and asks her out on a date. Unfortunately, she turns him down. Wilford, however, is a werewolf and when the moon comes out he comes handsome. Minerva becomes interested, but problems arise when the moon in continually obscured by clouds.

A cosmetics saleswoman discovers Skullhead Boneyhands in a mansion. She takes him home in an effort to make him look better. Unfortunately, he keeps getting buried by the family's dog.
