January 18, 2155: With the Enterprise destroyed, Archer and his crew decide to steal the Defiant and get out of the Tholian space station. The Tholian tries to trap them, but was no match for the advance technology of the Defiant. When Archer and his crew save an imperial ship of the Empire commanded by Admiral Black, Black wants Archer to surrender his ship to the Empire, but will give him another starship as soon as possible. But Archer doesn't want another ship, he wants the Defiant and will do anything that is neccessary to keep control of the ship and gain power in the Empire.

Harper has been captured by General Burma, a man who believes all technology to be evil. Dylan struggles with recovering Harper, evacuating all the remaining Seefran planets to Seefra One, a.k.a. Tarn-Vedra, and dealing with Trance. Dylan supposes that something may have happened to Trance while inside Methus-2, the artificial sun they fixed and the last place Trance seemed to be herself, and goes to investigate.

After Katara attempts to teach Aang waterbending, she is desperate to improve her abilities. When Katara inadvertently stumbles across a waterbending scroll that can help improve her ability while Aang is looking at a pirates store, she decides to steal it after she realizes that she couldnt hope to afford it; but will she be capable of stealing from the pirates without causing herself and her friends trouble?

Cresswell informs Harm that he is being relocated to London, Mac is being sent to San Diego, and they each get to bring one person from the office with them. With their respective moving dates rapidly approaching, Harm and Mac must figure out their personal lives, as well as their feelings for one another.

A senior computer-science researcher working on a classified government project is found murdered in his Hollywood Hills home and data has been stolen from his computer. The investigation reveals the victim was going through a bitter divorce and was trying to keep his wife from getting his money. Charlie also learns the project on which the man was working might have involved baseball.
