Twelve years in the future, Archer finds himself living in a modest home on a desolate planet with T'Pol as his caregiver. The last thing he remembers is walking down a corridor on his way to the Bridge. T'Pol explains that an anomaly hit the ship, and Archer knocked her out of the way of a distortion wave just in time. The wave rendered him unconscious, and when he awoke, Phlox had troubling news: Archer was infected with several clusters of parasites, which prevented him from forming long-term memories. Over the next few months, Phlox searched for a cure, but was unsuccessful - the organisms are from a domain outside of normal space-time, and none of his treatments had any effect. Meanwhile, T'Pol was granted a field commission and promoted to captain. After several months of searching, the crew learned where the Xindi weapon was being constructed - but the Xindi caught wind of it and sent ships to intercept Enterprise. The ensuing battle left Enterprise heavily damaged, and though the crew eventually located the facility where the weapon was being constructed, it had already been launched. Earth was destroyed. T'Pol relates to Archer that the Xindi also managed to destroy every human outpost they could find - only 6,000 humans are left.

Chris gets frustrated when John repeatedly refuses to hold up his end of a conversation; Linda claims that she has met 'the one', but she soon gets a big surprise; and Hector tries to persuade Jake to invest in his latest get-rich-quick scheme.

Clark discovers that Jor-El was on Earth forty years ago. Lana's great uncle, who was convicted of murdering his wife forty years ago, shows her a picture of the man he believes really killed her aunt, and she is shocked to discover the drifter looks just like Clark. Sure that the man is Jor-El, Clark's investigation leads him to a kryptonian medallion that allows him to see bits of the past and the life that Jor-El started for him long before he arrived on Earth.

Donna and Eric spend all their time having goodbye sex.

Angel learns that he must track down a retired Mexican wrestler to help him defeat Tezcatcatl, an ancient Aztec warrior who emerges every 50 years to take the heart of a hero to sustain his own existence. Angel is surprised to find the wrestler is employed at his company, Wolfram & Hart, and that he has a personal score to settle with Tezcatcatl.

After the NSA intercepts a phone call, they assume Jake is the target of a dangerous Polish mercenary who has just arrived in D.C. and wants to steal a nanite project. It turns out that Jake is not the target someone else on the team is.

During the first day of school, Summer continues to ignore Seth while in public, but privately she's jealous of his budding relationship with Anna. Kirsten also feels jealous when Sandy spends long hours at the office with Rachel, and things are made worse when Sandy is assigned to a case against Caleb. Luke continues to try to get Marissa back, but his attempts make Ryan jealous, resulting in a fistfight between the two. Later, Ryan tries to make up for the fight when he gets Marissa alone with him on a Ferris wheel.

Josh lands himself in hot water due to his role in Senator Carrick's switch to the Republican Party. Upon seeing this, C.J. talks to Donna about how to look out for Josh now that he's not the party's favorite person. Bartlet is preoccupied after a deadly tornado devastates Oklahoma and flies out to Oklahoma to lend his support to the community, but stays longer than he originally planned. Back in Washington, Leo worries about several crises that need the President's attention, including the capital-gains tax, the chancellor of Germany and escalating hostilities between Greece and Albania.

Manny inspires Emma to hook up with Chris. Spinner thinks Marco has a crush on him.

When a man is found murdered shortly after depositing almost $400,000 in his savings account, the investigation into the source of funds reveals that the victim ran an identity theft scam which left an elderly man homeless and impoverished.

Due to a rise in deaths due to senior citizens behind the wheel, the State of Colorado has revoked all the driver licenses of senior citizens. Soon after, the AARP shows up to fight for the rights of their comrades.

Jack is infected with a bit of Aku and the piece infects him with Aku, trying to take him over and drive him to evil.
