When the corpse of a handsome young man asks for Tru's help, she quickly learns he's a determined firefighter killed trying to save two children trapped in an apartment building fire. As Tru tries to change the man's fate, the day gets even more complicated when she develops feelings for him in the episode.

The Outcasts tribe vote back two players into the game - Burton and Lillian. The two report back to their original sides, who both act as though they are glad to see the previously eliminated person. The day after goes smoothly, even though Lill feels that her team is very lazy - and she is even more worried about her stay on the island...the Morgan tribe has run out of food. Thankfully, at the challenge the next day, the teams merge into the Balboa tribe, and after a win for Burton at the challenge, everyone goes back to the Morgan beach, where suspicions fly and both sides struggle to gain Lil's trust. At Tribal Council, Lill sides with the former Drake tribe by voting out Andrew, the obvious leader of the former Morgan tribe.

Ross tries to get a big grant from Charlie's ex-boyfriend, who is willing to trade the grant for Charlie.

His brother Dan decides to stay with J.D. for a while after their mom's new fianc kicked him out, but after spending some quality time with him at the hospital, Dan isn't sure if he likes the cynical person his little brother has become.

Elliot tries to deal with her own problems of a long distance relationship and decides to try moonlighting as a pet examiner with Carla to save up money.

A severed head is shipped to Dr. Robbins from Jackpot, Nevada. Grissom goes to Jackpot to find the rest of the body and gets very little cooperation from the locals. Catherine gets an unexpected gift from her father.

Continuing his new role as caretaker for a disabled Marilyn, a resentful Will takes his wheelchair-bound mother for an afternoon roll in the park and bumps into an attractive bachelor Tom wheeling an invalid of his own. Using his mother as a reason for a daily rendezvous in the park, Will attempts to build up the courage to ask Tom out. Elsewhere, Karen continues her lifelong quest to hunt down hubby-stealing Lorraine tracking her to a room at the Knickerbocker hotel only to discover occupant to be her father Lyle.

Since his return to County, Luka has become obsessed with treating and streeting patients as quickly as possible. He argues with Pratt over the treatment of a pregnant woman who doesn't want her premature baby to receive life-saving treatment, as well as with Romano, who wants more tests ordered on patients so that the hospital can make some money. Abby is still on her surgical rotation and Romano is still riding her hard. Coop flirts with Chen. Susan has been reading to Ben Hollander in her spare time and he seems to have developed a crush on her. Luka meets Sam's son Alex in the new JumboMart (which has replaced the fire-damaged Doc Magoo's).

When a high school sex-scandal leads to murder it is the team's job to figure out who did it and why.
