Why You Should Watch 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live'

The ultimate love story involving leaving your young daughter behind to fend for herself in a world of bad people and, you know, zombies - returns! The worlds worst parenting couple get their own spin off series, in order to try and justify their actions and presumably use in the inevitable social services case. It's been a minute since we've seen OG Walking Dead Rick Grimes, after he got on a mysterious helicopter, which if you haven't watched the World Beyond spin off, is a group known as the CRM. They are brutal, sure, but it's Rick Grimes! He can escape anything, but may have chosen not to. Sometime later Michonne found out that he was still alive, and set out to find him, alone, without telling their daughter. Nice. This is now the third spin-off focusing on original cast members, after Dead City and Daryl Dixon's EuroTrip. Both of those shows have been renewed for a second season, but all indications are that Rick and Michonne will wrap up their story line, and FINALLY return to poor Judith in just six episodes, maybe.

Who Is In 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live'?

Andrew Lincoln returns to the franchise as Rick Grimes for the first time in over 5 years. Danai Gurira, who left to star in the Black Panther films, rejoins him as Michonne, the other half of the ultimate bumkicking duo. Terry O'Quinn is a new addition to the Walking Dead universe, as General Beal, the military leader of the CRM. Polly McIntosh reprises her role as Jadis, a CRM wannabe who lived in a trash heap for a while before saving-by-kidnapping Rick after his run in with an exploding bridge. That guy is super unlucky...

When Will New 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live' Episodes Be Released On AMC?

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on AMC starting Sunday the 25th of February 2024. The limited series consists of six episodes that will release weekly until the end of March.

Initially, Rick Grimes was to return in a trilogy of films, but AMC took a leaf from Disneys book, and probably paid Andrew Lincoln less by sticking him on the small screen once again.
