Stardate 51721.3: Captain Sisko records a personal log in which he lays out the mistakes he made in his attempt to change the course of the war with the Dominion. Two weeks ago, in order to put the all the powers into position, he decides that the Romulan nonaggression treaty with the Dominion will have to be annulled so that the Romulans will join the Federation and push the Domonion out of the Alpha Quadrant once and for all.

Stardate: 51781.2 Everything is running normal on Voyager when Janeway suddenly receives a coded message from the ship. It's the highly secretive Omega Directive, which orders all Star Fleet Captains to stop everything, and do everything in order to destroy a detected Omega molecule.

Seven is the only member of the crew Janeway tells about this directive, in the hope that Seven can help her with this task, but Seven decides it might be better to study the highly unstable molecule. This leads to near disastrous results for Voyager.

Dick demands that Sally and Harry go to work, so she signs on as Albright's research assistant and he gets a job tending bar. Then Dick decides on a career change for himself (he wants to be a cop) after a disastrous Career Day at Tommy's school.
