As Enterprise ventures deeper into the Expanse, the Xindi council continues to monitor its mission. The various members of the council also continue to disagree on the best course of action. The Xindi-Reptilians and Xindi-Insectoids are ready to take action against the humans, but Degra, the Xindi-Humanoid who is building the mysterious weapon, advises caution. The other Xindi species ultimately support Degra, agreeing that he needs more time to complete this weapon and that they shall proceed as planned.

Under the influence of red kryptonite, Clark is following a life of crime in Metropolis while his friends and parents desperately try to find him. Lex is forced to confront his personal demons on a desert island, while Lionel holds a funeral for his presumed-dead son. And Jonathan Kent must pay a high price for the power necessary to bring his son back home.

Taking over the Los Angeles offices of the supernatural law firm Wolfram and Hart proves to be more challenging than expected for Angel and the gang, especially when their first case involves representing an evil client who threatens to destroy the city. As the gang settles into their new careers at the law firm, they meet new and familiar faces, including the mysterious Eve, who will act as Angel's liaison to Wolfram and Hart's senior partners, and the bubbly vampire Harmony who is Angel's new assistant. Most surprising of all is the arrival of Angel's old nemesis and fellow vampire-with-a-soul, Spike, who makes a miraculous appearance.

Jake is sent in to watch an international arms dealer's daughter, Theresa, but ends up befriending her when they accidentally meet. The NSA wants him to use his newfound connection to get info on her father's whereabouts, and Jake begins to have doubts about his job and how he's going to have to betray Theresa's trust.

The sixth season opens with a newly svelte Doug and a surprisingly jealous Carrie, who just can't hide her disdain when people constantly compliment her hubby on his weight loss. Doug decides to suprise her by taking her to an old holiday spot of theirs.

As the kidnapping crisis heightens, acting President Walken orders the bombing of terrorist training camps in Qumar. The kidnappers issue the U.S. a 24-hour deadline for the removal of American troops from Qumar. Meanwhile, Josh is certain that Walken's aides are going to use the situation to get their conservative agenda though Congress; and Toby visits his newborn twins all while overseeing the writing of two versions of a presidential speech, each dependent on Zoey's fate.

Doug surprises Carrie with a romantic weekend away at a resort. Doug and Carrie try to get over an argument they've been having, but only make things worse. Deacon finds Spence and Danny in bed together. Arthur decides he is in an emergency situation.
