When receiving a specific phone call from Simon, Kevin learns that Simon has been kicked out of his college dorm room for allowing a school friend, Christina Davis (guest-star Lauren Storm) to stay with him, which is against the rules. Simon tries to only enlist Kevin and not his parents for help in finding another place for him and Christina, but Eric eventually jumps in to handle the situation. When Eric comes to the rescue, he learns that Christina is a product of social services as well as her three younger siblings who are separated from each other and all in need of homes. Eric realizes that their situation may be more than he can handle alone after talking with social services and encountering the children's biological mother (guest-star Mackenzie Phillips) on the street at night. With the help of Annie, Eric encourages the congregation to make a difference by becoming licensed foster parents to the Davis childre

When Jake surreptitiously informs Andy that Ephram came to him for a STD test, Andy and Harold decide the best plan of action is to convince Ephram and Amy to hold off on sex. Of course, when Ephram realizes it's no coincidence that he and Amy both had a heart-to-heart with their fathers on the same day and informs her of his suspicions, Amy feels betrayed that Ephram didn't tell her about the test beforehand.
In another part of town, Nina finally decides it's time to tell Andy how she feels about him and asks him out to dinner, and Bright invites a lovestruck Hannah to go with him to a movie, but the night takes a turn for the worst when Hannah misinterprets his interest.

The hotel prepares for the youth football team's Casino League Grand Final game, Danny and Mike must locate a missing employee who is father to the captain of the team. His dad's hobbies may have gotten him into trouble. Gavin Brunson returns to inspect his hotel and Sam is forced to train his girlfriend as a casino host but she then finds a way to get her fired.

Rukia and Chad are fighting the Hollow who was hunting the young boy's soul. Chad cannot see the Hollow but he can sense it and attacks it. Rukia can see the Hollow, but since she still has none of her Soul Reaper powers her attacks have no effect. A little while into the fight Ichigo appears and starts fighting the Hollow. When Ichigo defeats this Hollow it is sent to Hell and not the Soul Society because the soul slayer can only cleanse sins after death not ones during life.
