During Grandma's unwelcome visit with the family, she loses her leg while saving Dewey from a moving truck. Consumed with guilt, Dewey is determined to find his Grandmother's leg and give it the proper burial. Francis, on the other hand, begrudgingly becomes the caretaker for his stubborn, cranky grandmother. Meanwhile, Malcolm and Reese are given a new idea for a prank that forces them to stay awake days at a time to avoid the embarrassment of having their faces glued to the floor.

George Michael runs for school president. All goes well until Michael gets involved in his son's campaign. Michael asks G.O.B. to help, but G.O.B. sinks George Michael's campaign when he makes an offensive campaign video. Meanwhile, Tobias moves out and Buster sleeps with Lupe.

Marge takes the kids on a Sunday drive while Homer is at home attempting to clean out the garage. After Homer suffers a garage-door-to-the-throat incident, Marge wants them to buy life insurance. Homer however is deemed uninsurable. Fearing that with no insurance for Homer they will go broke, Marge starts cost-cutting measures. Homer is against these new measures and takes the nest egg that Marge has made and spends it on the down payment for a new motor home. Marge tells him to enjoy being the king of his new castle, because she is no longer speaking to him. Homer is now living in the RV in the backyard and he and Marge try to entice Bart and Lisa to come and stay with them. Homer then opens up the backyard as a RV park, until Marge puts an end to it and they get into a big fight, which makes Bart and Lisa take action. Bart decides they need to take the RV back to the dealer. Homer and Marge try to stop the pair who has managed to get the RV onto the freeway. The RV crashes onto a Turkish container ship, which is leaving port. With the right enticement, mushroom soup, Marge gets the ship to turn around, saving the children and what is left of the RV. The RVs fate is determined when Homer try to put it on the dock.

A man claims that he was wrongfully convicted of the 1982 murder of his rich wife. The case is reopened when the victim's rare ring is discovered worn by a recently deceased junkie.

Nigel has to give a presentation to the American Medical Examiner's Association introducing the latest cutting edge methods. He introduces the trace evidence concentrator. The machine will be used in hopes of eliminating toe tags and cataloging all deceased bodies by bar code. Jordan learns that monster Kevin Cahill is out for revenge against Jordan's father. Max tells Jordan the reason the monster is out of prison is because of a cop killing case Max was working on 30 years ago. They later charged Cahill with murder. He was in prison for 30 years and is killing off those that put him in prison. Nigel discovers a flaw in his trace evidence concentrator. When to grieving parents come to look to the body of their deceased daughter they discover their daughters' cause of death is messed up.

Mining magnate George Hearst sends an agent to Deadwood. The man, Francis Wolcot, is greeted with varying responses. Farnum starts by wanting to scam him, but Wolcot easily convinces E.B to help spread rumors. Swearengen is out of action with kidney stones, leaving Dan and Johnny to make an attempt at running things. While other people are selling, Alma admits an interest in buying the Grand Central. She also fires Sofia's tutor.

When a young woman is shot during an unscheduled appointment, Goren and Eames investigate her death and learn she had received a kidney transplant a few years earlier. Initially, they believe Vanessa Nikos may have been killed so her organs could be harvested, but soon learn her death was more closely connected with the organ she initially received from living donor Boyce Wainwright. When her shooter, who is also awaiting an organ transplant, is found dead, the police realize they're onto something.

Bette tries to fix her relationship with Tina, but she gets a rude awakening with some bad news both at home and work. Alice and Dana try taking their relationship to a different level, Shane starts her new job as a PA to Veronica Bloom (guest star Camryn Manheim), and Jenny gets some confidence from her new hairstyle.

Lori files a complaint about Denny with Shirley and Paul and they seriously consider doing something about it; especially when they suspect he performed an unethical act on his recent case.

When Samson announces that the carnival's next stop is in the Christian camp of New Canaan, California, both Lila and Stumpy challenge his authority. Jones arrives back with the troupe and gives Samson the information what he and Ben found about Brother Justin. Meanwhile, Libby urges Jones to reveal the secret of Ben's powers to the rest of the troupe, despite Samson's protest. While Ben infiltrates Justin's ministry camp to look for him, he finds Sofie being baptized as a new converts when a new tragedy rises from the pond... in the form of the murdered Eleanor.
