After exacting revenge on Warren for Tara's death, an extremely powerful and vengeful Willow now vows to go after the other two members of the trio, Jonathan and Andrew, forcing Buffy into the unlikely role of nerd-villain protector. After freeing the Duo from jail and escaping from Willow, the expanded group runs to the Magic Box to find a protection spell. Willow draws Giles's energy into her and is hit by a sudden burst of emotion. Willow feels so much pain and hurt in the world and she decides to end it all.

Christopher returns to town for Rory's cast removal and decides to stay for Sookie's wedding. Christopher tells Lorelai that his relationship with Sherry is over and they rekindle their past romance. However, Sherry calls with startling news and Christopher returns to Boston, devastating Lorelai. Meanwhile, Paris gets Rory to run as her vice-president in the student body elections and win, which means Rory will have to spend the summer in Washington D.C. Jess returns to Stars Hollow and asks Luke if he can stay. At the wedding, Rory sees Jess and they kiss, but Rory runs off as the wedding begins.

Lex is hit with a surprise after his father closes the local Smallville plant to force him back to Metropolis, blaming the plant's failure on his management. Meanwhile Clark prepares for his date with Chloe, reporter Roger Nixon gets wind of Clark's alien origins after setting up an explosion, and Whitney joins the Marine Corps.

Donna and Casey break up. Kelso and Donna decide to go to California for the summer.

It's J.D.'s last day as an intern, and soon he will become a resident.

Jordan has returned to get a physical and a new patient, Mr. Bober, has been admitted, because he needs his gall bladder removed. He really needs the surgery, but doesn't have the insurance to pay for it.

They enlist the help of Dr. Cox, Dr. Wen and Jordan. And Jordan spills the beans.

Palmer has had enough of Sherry's power plays and has a final showdown with her in the hotel ballroom. Nina knows that the Drazens have no leverage without Kim, so she calls Jack and tells him that Kim's body was found floating in the harbor. Jack is crushed by grief and then he flies into a rage. He rushes the Drazens and a bloody shoot-out ensues. Nina's cover is blown and she makes a final dash for safety, leaving a bloody trail behind her. Jack is able to apprehend her before she can escape, but he is stunned to learn that he didn't arrive soon enough.

Admiral Chegwidden, Lt. Singer & Cmdr. Turner move over to the Pentagon War Room to easily coordinate & share intelligence information on Kabir Atef's planned attack on the U.S.

Niles eventually persuades the reluctant Mr. Moon to come to the U.S. and talk with his wife. He is prepared to leave immediately after Mrs. Moon rejects him, but Niles convinces him to stay for a while. Daphne is furious at Niles for interfering, as she feels her parents would eventually work out their problems on their own. She criticizes Niles for acting without consulting her. Niles and Daphne convince the Moons to join them for a romantic dinner. The plan works initially, but the couple soon gets into a brawl. Mr. Moon talks with Daphne and tells her that he and Gertrude are not going to reunite. A devastated Daphne fears that there is no point to marriage, but her father assures her that Niles is the right man for her. He cites the lengths Niles was willing to take to please Daphne as proof that he loves her much more than Mr. Moon ever loved Gertrude. Daphne realizes that he is right, and heads over to see Niles. She stuns him by telling him that she wants to marry imm.

Mackey and the Strike Team mediate a dispute between Rondell Robinson and the Nation of Islam while Wagenbach and Wyms investigate a brutal home invasion in the tight lipped Korean community. Meanwhile, Aceveda revisits his past.

After the events of 9.11, some of the roommates' priorities have changed, Kyle's in particular. He's realized that he wants to be with Nicole and he is trying to get back together with her. Part of that means changing his relationship with Keri. Even though their relationship supposedly ended a few weeks ago, Keri reveals that they still hook up pretty regularly and that Kyle is always interested in her after she comes back from going out on dates. And sure enough, after Keri goes out on a blind date with a friend of Cara's, Kyle is all over her again.
Meanwhile, after going out on a date with Danielle, Aneesa loses the keys to the minivan. Everyone is looking to her to take care of the problem and Aneesa stresses out about it.
