The second set of eight semi finalists perform live hoping to impress the judges and the viewers at home. Boyband Connected and Tina and Chandi really manage to impress the judges with their performances but not all the acts manage to impress the judges. At the end of the show the phone lines are opened for tonight's public vote.

After an art dealer's wife is taken hostage at gunpoint, Luther and the team are called in. The men responsible want payment in diamonds so Luther ends up substitutes a bag of replacement diamonds from the Serious Crime Unit's evidence safe. As the gang show up to pick up the gems they are arrested by Luther and the team but when everything starts to unravel Luther begins to suspect that he has been double crossed by Reed.
