After learning that Homer is seriously underqualified for his own job, Mr. Burns enrolls him at Springfield University. While there, he befriends three nerds and accidentally gets them expelled.

Frasier does something for his dad and gets Martin a telescope. Discovering the fun of spying on other people with the telescope, Martin comes accross a lady named Irene. They begin writing each other notes, using the telescopes to read them. Frasier begins to realise his dad has a thing for Irene, and tries to get him to ask her out. But when Martin turns down a date with Irene after their first talk on the telephone and makes up a reason as to why, Frasier decides to find out the real reason.

George, Jerry, and Elaine go to the hospital to witness a birth. Jerry and Elaine agree to be the baby's Godparents and plan the Jewish ceremonies for the baby. Kramer thinks he saw a 'pig man' at the hospital and sets out to prove that the man really exists.

Tami introduces her relationship with Tootie, but they break up. Aaron meets Heather and despite her many fine qualities, realizes that the timing is bad. Beth S. denies having sex in the closet with one of her male visitors. Glen and Beth A. become very close. Dominic dates three different women at once and tries to keep them separated when he invites all three to a party at the loft.
